No, its just the consistent recycling of the same oil in the vats that makes it seem that way. That oil gets filtered everyday (or should), but never replaced. They just add some when it gets below a certain line in the fryer.

If I want a good cheap burger and fries combo, I go to a solid diner over a fast food joint every dang time.

I think I had Chick-Fil-A once in the last year or so as my only “fast food” meal. Don’t think I’ve had McDonald’s or Wendy’s in 5 years. Expert I am not!

I voted Chick Fil A. The waffle shape maximizes the amount of buffalo sauce you can slop into your mouth.

Five Guys seasoned fries are behind by the very tiniest of margins. Eat them with malt vinegar or don't bother ever eating anything ever again.


Arby's is on par with Five Guys.


All other fries are biowaste.
