Instant 2nd line.
And kid line goes back to being 3rd line where it can do some damage.

McKenzie reports that the 41-year-old’s issues are bad enough that they’re occasionally making it difficult for him to function, let alone play at the highest level of the sport.
Damn that is a shame. But I guess it happens to the best of us, you get old and then pass away.
I am really glad I got to see as much of him in Detroit as we did. Amazing to think in his 1st year with the Wings he was our top scorer. What a frigging legend.
2. When will Daniel Alfredsson announce his retirement?
It seems like Alfredsson, who turns 42 next month, is done. He hasn't skated at Joe Louis Arena in several weeks and expressed frustration to Red Wings general manager Ken Holland that his back hasn't progressed to the point where he could even practice with the team.
I believe he's committed to coaching his son's pee wee team
Does anyone know what the latest news is on Alfie?
Thanks.
I believe he said, That he's going to make his decision to retire or not by December 1st. So we should get an Idea within the next 10 days or so.
Thanks for the answer.
Thanks for the answer.
Three weeks shy of his 42nd birthday, Daniel Alfredsson's comeback bid is about to end.
Sources tell The Dreger Report that Alfredsson has decided not to play this season and while the Red Wings have been informed he is likely done, they have not heard directly from Alfredsson.
Hopefully this will get Holland to make a move and get a right handed vet on the team. Most likely though Holland will say Weiss actually playing is the move they need.
