there wont be much. The goalie market will be pretty soft and there will be a few high profile UFA (Markstrom,Holtby,Lehner)

Late 2nd/early 3rd for George

sorry, nope

your advise is ignoring reject fact that in this thread, in addition to CHI, there are offers for DET, and BUF has stated interest in other threads.

Price goes up.

As to big name ufas, those cost $
actual $ aside given pandemic reality economy,
a guy like Holtby is gonna cost at ballpark triple what Geo will sign for short term.

And Lehner is no big whoop, not anymore.

this is awful for detroit. they are giving up a top 10 prospect that has developed well, for one that hasnt
they give up a young dman and a pair of early 2nds for strome (who will soon be overpaid) and Georgiev?

Take out Rasmussen or CHolowski and wings still say no thats how bad it is. stop trying to pawn off strome in all your deals lol
He is a 35ish pt 3rd liner that had a career year riding panarins coattails

Cholowski and Strome were in deal originally suggested by DET fan.

Chol is a very late 1st
DET 2nd 2020 is early
2021 2nd is deferred.

Geo is worth a 2nd + NOW.

Strome similar, also is righty shot top 6 F can play C.

Truth be told, neither Ras nor Lias are strong to make a club b'c neither can skate. Ras I could see MAYBE making it as 4th line PP specialist in front of net. But that is a roster spot for a specialist.
Lias is terrible skater and eye test, he skates better than Ras. If not for just want to do change of scenery with Lias would not care.

It's a little bit overpay but not much as you allege.

Do the Rangers have any interest in Strome?

I'm just curious, because I think a Georgiev + Andersson package would have similar value.

Georgiev and Andersson for Strome and i'll bring Georgiev and Lias there myself. See you soon, no trade backs

Rangers do that in a heartbeat. We’ll throw in a 4th.

Interesting.

I myself don't want to trade Strome, but most Hawks fans are speculating he's on his way out due to poor fit. Basically we have Toews as 1C, and Dach making a very good case for why he's ready to be a full time 2C. Strome isn't well suited for a 3C role since he's a skill player.

The Hawks desperately need to address their goalie situation and Georgiev gives them someone who is young, and while not elite, he can be an okay starter which is still leagues better than anyone in our system. Lias Andersson I think can benefit from a change of scenery and seems to be suited for a bottom 6 role.

It's clear the Rangers would end up with the best player in the trade, though.

In that case, it makes sense for both teams. Good job with the suggestion.

Yah he isn't worth a 2nd round plus. Grubauer a better goalie which much better stats was traded with a cap dump Orpik for a 2nd round pick 2 years ago. Georgiav is worth about that or a little less.

You definitely are now going to get any combination of Ras, Cho and their 2nd round pick for him.

Quite frankly he isn't worth the 32nd pick in the draft let alone with those other pieces.

I’m guessing Geo most likely gets dealt for a 2nd this year and mid round pick next year. There’s a possibility that they get a youngish bottom six guy for him though.

Neither would thrill me, but that’s prob fair value.

Thanks for feedback.
Fact that there are multiple suitors suggests he will get some variation of a generic 2nd +, maybe ++ if high enough competitive bids. How high that 2nd slots remains to be seen.

Georgie and Lias for Strome

or bigger deal involving Matta with Smith coming back for which the NYR will have to add a really good D prospect like Zac Jones And another pick

Georgie, Lias, Smith, Jones or Skinner, 2020 5th, and 2021 2nd for Strome and Matta

You're not doing a very good job selling Lias here.

I don't believe the Rangers will do anything with Georgiev until they find out what they have with Wall in the AHL. IMO Wall was easily the best goalie in college last year. His numbers were ridiculous considering the team he played on sucks. The pathetic offense in front of him had a leading scorer with 24 points. The only reason his pathetic team won any games was him stealing games.

Unite the Strome brothers?

Suter replaces Strome on the third line for Chicago, so he’s going somewhere.

Why do the Rangers want Dylan Strome again?
C depth with upside, flexibility is that we could move Chytil to W or move on from Ryan in one year. I Like Matta because on a 2 year deal he can bridge the LD from Staal/Smith into Miller/Robertson and could be a good fit with Trouba

He who hesitates is lost.

Should sell Geo now for futures, cap.
We are not letting Wall twist in the wind.

Shesty-Hank
MAYBE Hank 2 more years at league min, maybe not.
Wall steps in when ready.
Huska + Lindbom say hi, stopgap at worst.

I could see the Rangers moving Geo+ The Canes 1st to jump up a few spots and get their guy on draft day.

As an Oiler fan (barring someone very unexpected dropping to 14) I'd be all over this.
Mercer, Jarvis, Zary, Gunler, Schneider - one of these guys will he available around that pick. I don’t expect Geo to help us jump from like, 25 > 14, especially with Askarov, but hey, if it did I’d do backflips.
