I'm guessing our old buddy Kyle Kujawa wrote this for a reason:
Iowa had the AHL's fifth-best power play in Tanguay's first season behind the bench at 21.9 percent, and its offense was among the league's most productive, improving from 3.08 goals per game in 2019-20 to 3.15 goals per game over a 34-game schedule in 2020-21. The Wild also had the second-best shot-per-game average in the AHL in each of the past two seasons, averaging 32.68 combined in Tanguay's tenure with the club.

So California
something something I hate it something something...

In all seriousness, if he can improve our lackluster offense, I'm all for it.

Iowa Wild’s Offense and PP was dynamic

Very intriguing

Last year:
12th in GF/GP
28th (last) in PP%

2019-20:
14th in GF/GP
5th in PP%

Mixed bag. That 2019-20 team was led by a bunch of career AHLers. So I'm not sure if that is a positive or a negative.

He doesn't have any coaching experience isn't he?. He was highly skilled pass first with very high shooting percentage. I was expecting someone who replaces Blashill. Tanguey is nice an quiet guy, I don't expect him replace Blashill, I don't like this move

At least he's played the game at a high level, so he has experience. It might just work.

THE RIVALRY IS STILL REAL TO ME DAMNIT!!!
LOL, as soon as I saw the news I headed straight here for this. I lived in Colorado from 95-98 so I'm one of the very few that liked both teams.

I think Stevie nailed it again. I said this team needs a guy with NHL level scoring experience that can teach skills as well as tactics. The guy had a career 18.6 SH% and played on both special teams, peaking at 29 PP points in 05-06. That's more than double Helm, Bylsma, and Houda's combined career total.

He would have to smoke crack every morning to be worse than Disco.

Thank you Stevie. You gave me what I wanted, I forgive you for extending Blash, lol.
