Galchenyuk is a first liner and even producing like one while playing on the 28th team in the league for goals scored and Beauvilier is a third liner on the 7th best scoring team. They might both improve, or both stagnate, but the difference between them is significant enough to not accept any trade 1 for 1.

Maybe Beauvillier with the Islanders 1st for Galchenyuk and the Habs think about it.

It’s comical that it’s come to the point where the isles are going to lose their franchise player for nothing. To be expected from a team that has one playoff series win in 24 years.

If I’m the isles I’d be looking to improve that train wreck defence and goaltending, not looking at getting players like Galchenyuk
