I could see why, decision makers will cover for family mistakes and imcompetence.

Let's take a look at the Devils scouting dept under Conte.

Conte's son, Jeremy. I think around 26 years old and not even sure if he played hockey or to what level.

Geoff Stevens, Scott's brother.

Chris Lamoriello, who's not had any AHL on or off ice success for the great majority of his time in this role.

A few ex-Devils players in Blomqvist (who should be fired since he covers Sweden/Finland), Ludvig along with a few ex-NHL players who are younger at least.

But too much good ole boy "can do no wrong" country club atmosphere.

Scott Lachance? I wonder whose he's responsible to bringing on board?

I have heard the cat's meow in the NHL is a guy in the Kings Scouting department he has his own blend of propiertary stats, hes also a Jersey native.

Looking at the Scouts bios on the Devils site, there are guys that have just as long as Lou with time in with the Devils.

I don't have a problem with family, however they are either the best or worst employees to have. Does anyone have a problem with Terreri and Brylin coaching?

Part of the reason of the Bruins resurgance is signing Chara, that's most or all of it.

Looking at those pictures of the Devils scouts, I can't help but be reminded of the bosses having a meeting in the back of the courthouse with their oxygen tanks in the movie Casino.

His offensive game is there when a coach lets him use it. One day Lar's full game will bloom in the NHL.

Anyone glad he had a good night and look forward to (hopefully) seeing him play tomorrow night.

Edit: Didn't Reid score tonight?

It was a crossice one-timer just to the right and above the center hashmark

I saw this in the box score and found it mildly amusing.

Carrier Alb (fighting), 13:59; Letourneau-Leblond Wbs (fighting), 13:59

Clemmensen is terrible.

I agree he is shot at this point, but, we only saw the 2 goals in the highlights, for all we knew he made great saves.

Funny how there was even a debate earlier this season of who's better, Kinkaid or Clemmer.

Not sure where to post this but Bill Guerin and Eric Weinrich were named honorary captains for the AHL all-star game in Utica. I'm old enough to remember them as prospects with the UDevs even if few others on here will be!

I'm old enough to have seen Billy Guerin play live for Boston College...I don't think that is a good thing :(

Did you see highlights from Wedgewood's last game? He's the worst pro goaltender in North America. I have a hard time believing that Clermont wouldn't be a better option right now. Anthony Brodeur might even be next year too.

Albany is ****ed if Clemmensen can't win some games for them, now that Kinkaid is gone.
