AHL to cut 10 games from schedule?

Not all teams care about making money. If a team is NHL owned taking the hit is no biggie really.

Another thing....playoff games are money losers in minor league hockey if anything. They are poorly marketed and there's no group sales. Unless you go on a deep run most if not all games will be well below a season average except for the rare markets.

Then don't watch hockey at all. The NHL isn't ccutting its schedule. The European leagues start in August/ September and end in February/March.

I think they will try 72 first, sounds like they want to eliminate the weekday games before Xmas cause they loose money on them..

I think they want to cut out the 3-in-3's. It's hard on the players, and hell logistics-wise for parent clubs.

Lol ECHL has a 72 game schedule and still manages 3 in 3s, 3 in 4s and 4 and 5s
