AAV is a bit high but low risk for Vegas due to the short term. Hill gets a decent chunk of money now and can get a big deal in 2 years with a larger sample size.

I'll humor you, what did they do that was so egregious this year? Hide a beer league caliber goalie on LTIR? Nothing they did was worse than what Tampa did a few years ago

It's a tough spot to be in. Hard to just let him walk and to his credit he was very good in the playoffs.

But the sample is so small there's a ton of risk. At least the term is reasonable.

I mean that was one of the best goalie performances from a Knight in their 6 years. Up until this playoff run, that week, specifically the Devils and Canes games was the best Hill had ever played.

They won with him, so the AAV is somewhat justified IMO. Plus, it's only for a two years. There isn't a huge commitment If he turns into a pumpkin.
