#CBJ acquires defenseman Adam McQuaid from the #NYR. Don’t expect any offense from McQuaid, however, he provides depth and is a tough defender in his own end who can kill penalties. McQuaid has also posted positive high-danger, while on ice results this season.

For two picks? I'm not sure if that's too much.

I thought we were fine with Harrington, Kukan, and Clendening at #6-8. Do we expect Murray to be back before the playoffs?

But McQuaid brings some serious snarl. He's not just depth, he offers a quality that we want. I'm curious where he'll slot in - my impression was that he isn't necessarily better than what Harrington has been offering lately (some solid D), but he's hard to play against in a 7 game series.
