A $10 mil QO is 1 year of control?

Anyways, there's no point in talking about rental value in vacuum when there's no indication that Lindholm has a specific destination in mind. But sure, in the event that Lindholm has no desire to get a bigger paycheck by having the 8th year added to his final contract he'll go for a late 1st + B prospect.
It makes even less sense to discuss the Jets paying more than rental value for Lindholm, as it should be clear at this point that Lindholm is never signing with us as a UFA. If someone beats that value, for a rental Lindholm or an extended one, so be it.

But even if we disregard realistic expectations and assume that Lindholm would sign with us, you can 100% rule out McGroarty being in any deal, and Barlow probably won't be made available either. The Jets have favoured prospects like those two in multiple occasions before, and literally none of them have been traded this early on. Cheveldayoff has a type w/r/t prospects, and there isn't a realistic trade that would make him give up someone who fits that type to an absolute tee.

Considering the other contender for his services Colorado’s top prospect is Ritchie jets can make a winning bid with a prospect like Barlow/ lambert and a 1st.
Not that interested at that cost.

If they could sign Lindholm it would be more interesting but he is likely too expensive.
