- QUOTES -

JON COOPER:
"You take away the last five minutes of the game and it was not too bad. Three of three of the kids, it was their first NHL game ever and I was happy with the way they played and happy with the effort. I think both coaches will probably tell you it was pretty sloppy and the ice was getting chopped up and pucks were bouncing all over the place. But it was your typical Game 1 exhibition game."

ADAM WILCOX:
"It obviously stinks that you lost, it’s a bitter taste, your first game you would like to get a win especially when you get in there with the lead. You have to forget about it, we have some more preseason games here and that’s what the preseason is all about, getting the rust off and getting used to it."

BRAYDEN POINT:
"I tried (to keep up) and keep my feet moving as best I could and I felt I did okay out there. There are things you would like to change about every game, but it’s a tough league and this was still only exhibition, so there is definitely still a lot of work to do."

lets try getting the lead again, only this time don't blow it with 5 min left. In fact let's see what happens if we can keep the lead the entire game.

I guess we can remind everyone from the start that last game we could listen to Nashville's radio on NHL.com so it's worth a shot to see if you can do it for tonight as well.

Now BTT, I'm excited, we should see the rest of the regulars tonight so I'm curies to see how the lines will be my guess it might look something like

TKO
X - Vladdy - Cally
Brown - Boyle - X
X - X - X

(though I think it's possible that they might split up TKO for tonight game and go something like:
Palat - Johnson - Callahan
X - Vladdy - Kucherov (since Kuch and Vladdy works really we together)
I think they'll have at least two regulars on each line so that's why I think we'll see Brown and Boyle together, maybe Marchessault would be the X on that line, and I guess Tambellini could be on the 4th to provide some vet precense there)

Nesterov - Strålman
Garrison - X
X - Sustr

One of those X on 'd' is Witkowski.

Bishop
York

No matter how the lines looks (and I might have been over thinking this) it should be fun, the guys on the TKO lines always make things fun.

Would love to see a Palat - Johnson - Callahan line. It's the pre-season all about experimenting. But think that line would be very good.

Interesting decisions to come by Cooper. If he goes with the same format as last night we'd be looking at: NHL Top 6, AHL Line, & Youngsters Line:

Palat/Johnson/Kucherov/Namestnikov/Callahan/Boyle. So maybe like a third line of Marchessault, Peca, Gourde with Richard as outside shot at getting in. There are no other "deserving" youngsters so maybe add Brown. So maybe we go 11/7 with lines:

Palat/Johnson/Kucherov
Namestnikov / Boyle / Callahan
Marchessault / Peca / Gourde
Brown/Richard

Nesterov / Stralman
Garrison / Spencer
Masin / Sustr
Witko

*Would like to see Dotchin get some game action as well but can't fit them all.

Bishop
York unless Gudlevskis is ready to go.

Looks like I was wrong, looks like we're going with a "young group" tonight since there is no Callahan, Bishop, Boyle, Strålman or Garrison at morning skate. Makes me think that maybe they are splitting all 63 players into 3 groups and maybe those 5+ someone else might play on friday and then maybe have the rest of the guys around them be prospects/rookies so that they can learn from the teams "older" guys.

Makes sense trying to give these young guys a game or two to see where they stand in case injuries happen in the regular season.

I think a Callahan - Callahan - Callahan would be a good line that other teams would hate to play against because of thei two-way game where they can both score goals and play physical while keeping the puck out of the zone well, would it be a great line who knows but it could be a good line, though Ia prefer Cally playing with two players that both compliment and that can use him becuase they are better att other things, like a Drouin - Stamkos - Callahan line, you know, you could get the best of everything that way.
