Great and hard question.
Dallas has big names like Seguin,Benn, Radulov and Pavelski...But also Klingberg and a goalie, Khudobin, that is really hot so far.
Vegas is a protected team I suppose, so we'll have another time an awful officiating. About the ice they're a skilled and a speedy team.
To be honest, I don't know...

Dont forget dallas has miro heiskanen too, he will be top 2 defender in a few years or after this year. His IQ is insane and plays a great 2 way with offensive IQ. He is trying to be Finlands victor hedman or roman josi easily.

Man the press questions are so dumb, Cooper is trying so hard not to throw it in their faces how dumb these questions are.
Yeah, I stopped watching them quite a while ago. Always the same stupid question, that lead to always the same generic answers.
Really adds nothing insightful, which is what you would expect from a post game presser

... Is it weird that I don't see any sort of elite team defense out of the NYI?

Here I was gearing up for another CBJ style slog-fest and it's been nowhere close. There's been a lot of wide-open hockey.
NYI did a pretty decent job in game 2, but can't sustain a near perfect defensive structure over a series. Tampa is currently firing on all cylinders, absolutely dominating all aspects of the game, everyone bringing a positive contribution. Since Boston game 2, this team is the complete package. Wasn't the case in the 1st round.

Their defense is not really anywhere near as good as the Isle fans claim. Boston and CBus had better defensemen. They have a heavy forecheck but its negated 'cause we have huge defensemen that can move the puck. The size of our defensemen pretty much absorbs their hits and our speed has made moving through the neutral zone pretty easily as their forecheckers leave huge swaths of open ice.

Pat Maroon is sooo good in his role. If he doesn't re-sign with us I can see contenders lining up to sign this guy.
I was literally just thinking about Maroon this morning and how valuable he's been for us. It might not be on the score sheet but having that recent cup winning vet who also is a big body and does things others don't is so incredibly key for this team. You know he's in that room being a calm voice, reminding the guys what's at stake and what they've been through and how it feels to get to that prize.

Seeing him get rewarded with a goal was so nice.

We REALLY need Vegas to force 7 games.

Point needs some time to heal and who knows, maybe Stamkos will be back....
I love a Dallas win in 7. That said I would take a Dallas win in 5 if it means the Stars advance. They are not that great of a team and are a mouth better matchup than the Knights

Point skated (barely) during a commercial break, stayed on the bench and didn't look to be in any pain, celebrated with the boys. Was involved with bench banter and such. Good signs, considering last time he left the bench and the game
When they left the ice to go to the room he was also limping

Agree totally... it's like watching the press ask Biden if he thinks he will do a better job than Trump on this, that, other...lol

Today's journalists (many but not all), just make me scratch my head with their lack of creativity (among other shortcomings)

Access journalism is not journalism.

We've turned our politics into sports over time unfortunately. Red team vs. Blue team, corporate media outlets care more about access than serving the people and it's more profitable for them to just focus on the propaganda both sides put out against the other to distract from the fact that they both serve the same small subset of society. Cultural hegemony to control the masses, because if all the MAGA folks and all the Limousine Liberals + Socialists got together realizing both teams aren't really serving their material interests, the powerful would have a very bad day.

Someone already mentioned it but I absolutely love how obsessed Boston fans are with us.

It must hurt them real deep that a franchise with "no fans" and a bunch of "dirty players" consistently shits on their team.

I'm probably leaning towards him sitting the next one out. See if we can close it out without him and let him rest for the finals. I dont like our chances in the finals without him.

If you sit him out Game 5 and the Lightning lose they'll be forced to play him in games 6 or 7 regardless, making the whole thing Pointless anyways. He might as well play and go for the win.
