My argument is they all stink, & it's stupid to pay MacD, Grossmann, & Schenn over $3m each when you can get a negligible difference in Manning for $600k.

We're not even talking value or considering contracts, only skills.

If it's Manning or Grossmann next year then sure let Manning play on the third pairing for cheap, but people acting like he's some huge upgrade are insane.

We're trying to get rid of poor defensemen who don't make the team any better, not add more of them, even if they're cheap.
