Now imagine if they'd gotten the Giroux return and brought Giroux back instead of TDA and Deslauriers. That would have at least made maximum sense for a team that believed they were going for it. Instead, while trying to win, they did...everything they did. That last two years of Fletcher was worse than Milbury. It has to be an all-time worst GM performance. From the fully wrong evaluation of where the team is, to how they pursued what they thought would bring winning.

Ginning looked ok at times and just not good overall. A lot of puck watching in front of the net, turnovers and losing battles. For a 24 year old 6’3 200+ lbs shut down D , I think there’s better options out there.
Remember, this was a Columbus team with 1/2 of their AHL team playing last night

So a typical Ginning game eh? He’s not going to do shit at the NHL level

Fletcher and Zito are the same.
Zito traded (2) 1sts, 3rd, 4th and Tippett for a month of G and Chiarot, Chiarot made Risto look like a top 4 D-man with his play in the 2021-22 playoffs as Florida got steamrolled by TB.

So maybe they are the same.

Be more dishonest, you can't.

A team that won the President's Trophy is surely in the same position as one that, checks notes, finished with the fourth worst record.

As usual, the sarcasm flies past you.

But Zito has a mixed record, made some really good moves, but failed to bite the bullet and dump Bob, even if it meant a step back. And this year was pure luck, anyone believe Lyon is a starting NHL goalie? And those deadline trades are a disaster.

Verhaeghe is the poster child for patience, TB gave up on him as a 24 year old forward who put up 8-4 12 (ES) in 52g. Marchment was also a late bloomer who didn't break out until 26, then Zito made the right move in keeping Verhaege and letting Marchment go.

Reinhart was value for value, 1st rd pick but also Levi, who Florida should have kept, best goalie in the NCAA will start for Buffalo next season. What's Florida's biggest hole? But Zito overestimated Knight's upside.

Stole Bennett b/c Calgary gave up after he played like a bottom six forward for six years despite being #4 in the draft, goes to Florida and becomes a solid 2nd line guy.

Stole Montour from Buffalo, struggled in Anaheim and Buffalo, blossomed in Florida, one reason "tanking" can cause problems, makes it hard to properly evaluate young players in chronic losing environments.

Carolina put Forsling on waivers, another player who blossomed in Florida.

His draft record isn't very good, Lundell is it (Levi was a 7th rd flier), and so far he hasn't stood out as a #12 pick.

Please know that your sarcasm isn't taken as sarcasm due to your past takes. There's no way to differentiate the two.

Take a moment and think on that.
