Not really. Roy pulls his goalie super early all the time. Miami pulled their goalie against Providence with like 12 minutes left down 4 in their tourney game just last weekend--and it almost worked too. They got 3 extra attacker goals and almost got the fourth but then Providence scored an empty netter.

Plus the analytics say teams wait too long to pull the goalie anyways.

The Buffalo Sabres and Carolina Hurricanes managed a penalty-free game on Monday night. It’s not necessarily that none were committed, but none were called. Referees Dave Jackson and Garrett Rank had a quiet night, with the only whistles coming for offside plays, icing, pucks out of play, and stoppages by the goaltenders. It’s the ninth penalty-free game since 1987, according to Hockey Reference, and the sixteenth overall.

Just watched the replay again. That last face off with 4s to go was filthy, it looks to me like it was actually Larsson who shot the puck out of the zone, and nearly scored an empty netter too...!
