Better Chicago than Montreal is the way I look at it.
You don’t get the exhilaration of that game 7 overtime slaying of the habs if they’re not in the playoffs, that sorta thingDude. I love you, but you can't go around saying shit like that.
I'll pretend I never read that and we can stay friends.
Why not just wait a year and Sign him ?The Yotes trade 12th and another 1st plus Keller for Matthews
Thats not a pizza, thats a tomato paste caseroleOther than record high murder rates, yes… they make a very good pizza
Kevin Weeks screwed upSo, uh, they didn't flip the Columbus card, so how do we know they're picking third?
Whaaaaat??I’d kinda like a return of powerful habs teams, the league is better when Montreal is good
How do you figure? I know this was a down year for the Coyotes after their 7 year cup dynasty.Stop, its not rigged, Arizona would have gotten it
Bedard is such a good humble kid, I could not see him refusing to go to any teamI would love it if Bedard refused to go to chicago
Doesn't help when they don't show the actual picks. No idea why they don't. HmmEasily predictable. Big market team, on the outs, 2 stars of the past gone Toews & Kane.. no chance NHL letting their potential biggest star go to Columbus or Anaheim. Sorry folks, call me a conspiracy theorist but dollars matter. I called this months ago

I think they see McDavid in Edmonton and understand it’s an issue having your top marketing star on the west coast (frozen tundra) and nobody east of Idaho gets to watch him play but once a year when he’s visiting. This is crazy.
It would be nothing but BENEFICIAL for the league and its growth if Bedard had gone to Arizona or Anaheim. A big star in the small market gets new eyes on the game.
I’m with you on being disappointed that it’s the Blackhawks though. I’ve lost all my respect for the current iteration of that franchise after decades of them being my #2.
Fantilli is gonna be a superstar too......Wouldn't be surprised at all if he wins the Calder at Anaheim. At least he has a few pieces (Zebras, Terry) to play with. Bedard isn't gonna have that in Chicago.....Bummer for Zegs. But at least Anaheim will get a good player at two.
Also have to take into consideration the new TV deal. Having this kid with an O6 franchise, especially the #3 DMA in the US, is about as ideal as it gets.I think they see McDavid in Edmonton and understand it’s an issue having your top marketing star on the west coast (frozen tundra) and nobody east of Idaho gets to watch him play but once a year when he’s visiting.
Imagine McDavid on the Rangers, Devils, Bruins, Flyers etc.. I felt there was zero chance Bedard was going to SJ Anaheim Columbus Arizona. They needed him in a big market. Chicago made too much sense, especially considering Toews & Kane situations.
