So their top point producers are on pace for the 50-60 point range with Eberle and McCann maybe potting 30 goals each with 2 others maybe getting 20g and none of their goalies are cracking .900 right now or below 3.25 GAA. Adam Larsson is their #1D, who might crack 20 points. What a mess... They need help in goal, but have committed money and term to 2 guys having awful seasons, especially Grubauer, who is having 5 hole issues. They have no offense from the D. They need help at C and in their top 6 in general, need at least 2 high-end top 6 forwards. Their #2 overall pick is equaling last year's production instead of escalating it, matching Brisson's output, a guy Vegas took #29 in 2020. (okay, yeah a year older, but still, they have Owen Power on that team, where's the production?) 1st year in and they need a rebuild already.

Yup, Francis didn't read the market well, ended up with one minor pick-and-trade side deal. Other teams had way longer advance notice of Seattle's entry into the league and the expansion rules than they did with VGK. Contracts were structured so that NMC's wouldn't be in place during the Seattle expansion, or at least real dollars/bonuses would be higher this season. Teams had more room and could afford to lose a guy because they weren't needlessly protecting a bad NMC contract. Then Francis goes around asking for 1st round picks to protect 3rd line forwards and #4 D's and no one bit. Then, he goes in and picks guys based on contract length and dollars rather than making 'hockey' picks, leaving quality on the board.

Then he follows it up with a questionable free agency period, overpaying slightly for Schwartz for $5.5nm, (20 points in 29 games,) 4.5m to Wennberg (16 pts in 32 games), Grubauer $5.9m * 7 (3.27 GAA, .882 Save %, 7-12-4)

Yes, McCann has been a bright spot which is upsetting as a Canuck fan lol. Eberle was a good get but that wasn't a surprise. Other than that though, yesh, you pay $600m and get one ED and this is what you pick?

God I hate having Chiasson on the ice... let alone in our top 6.

And all I've seen out of Dickinson is a player that seems to drag down whatever line he's on.

We've had a nice little bump with the new regime, but Rutherford's got a lot of dead weight to rid us of before this team is much more than a contender for middle of the pack.

I'm interested to see how we come out and play in this one. Hopefully Bruce did his F this F that F you and the boys are ready.

If Chiasson has another blunder he can take the bus back like the AHL scrub he is.

Wow. Hopefully this lady is at the game tonight - would be great to see Red able to thank her for saving his life. Incredible story.

If she is not, he should be able to either get her contact information or provide her with a way to contact the Canucks with whomever is in that seat. I would imagine that those seats were sold to a season ticket holder.

When we want to be, the hockey community is some kind of amazing.

Now let's murderize this craphole team. I keep forgetting Seattle exists.

you are right and sometimes we as fans get caught up in the commotion of the game and we overlook some of the things that make this league and it’s fans special…..so yes I whole heartedly agree with you…..this is indeed a crap hole team

thank you for sharing

Those seats were sold to a season ticket holder. If they were individual game day ones it would have been harder to locate the person.
