Wow, if Manning at least tried, he could of easily prevented 3 goals tonight. You do not deserve to be in the NHL anymore Manning. ****ing deal with it. Same with you boxcar, deal with it.

Ghost up to 38 points. He could hit 40 still despite 5 healthy scratches and zero faith from his coach.

save him for one of the last 2 home games. his first career NHL should be at home. especially with the season over.

Eh. Just play him now and give me a reason to watch with his 7 minutes ice time on the 4th line, in for Konecny.

But seriously, there's no real reason to wait. But clearly with Mark Friedman still not playing the organization doesn't view it as a real priority.

I just don't even get it. Ghost was stapled to the bench until it was 4-1, then he played half of the rest of the game and of course he probably had more touches on the puck than anyone to make it 4-3. Yet somehow I shouldn't blame the coach for sitting an impact player and overplaying a #7 defenseman.

I hope so. I've missed the last 3 aside from a handful of periods because things are hectic on my end, I'd like to see some more.

How was Stolarz tonight?

No chance on any of the goals. Like none.

Made a few tough stops but the Rags didnt have a lot of pressure outside of scoring 3 goals off terrible breakdowns by Manning and 1 on a terrible breakdown by MacDonald.

He really got no ****ing help. Awful turnover that could of easily been cleared on the PP that turned into a goal. Then Manning for 3 straight plays could of prevented every single one of them if he was even an average player. Manning completely failed coverage on a 2 on 2. Then he fell down behind the net trying to deal with someone and that essentially left open Stolie's right side for any Ranger to come in. And then he could of easily done something to prevent a tip by Kreider if he at least tried to tie him up in front.

Manning is done. If anything, I hope Hextall buys out his contract (or make sure he's buried in the AHL).

Yet I truly feel both will be in the top 7 next year..which is just sad.

It's going to be one of my most frustrating takeaways from this season that very well could portend for future seasons. Like I said last thread: Ghost is to this coaching staff a PP specialist 3rd pair guy, only to be used heavily when down a goal. Hakstol and Gord (Gord doesn't get enough blame because his hand is in this too 100%) treat Ghost with kid gloves and think he actually is a potential detriment to the team 5v5 at any given time with his risk taking and ability to, ya know, actually try to create goals. It's not even about just sheltering him a bit and giving him optimized minutes.......it's about having an incredibly critical view of him and his abilities and wanting him in their neat little compartmentalized box. The coaching staff would rather lose playing safe than win playing riskier. It's been going on all year.

And those coaching tendencies will never change which is why they all need to, and eventually will be, fired.

Which player on our team has been ruined? We might not agree with some of their usage, but they all seem to be fine. Ghost is playing well again despite his not so good start. Provy is already a #1 and TK is still producing.

This "they will all be ruined by our coaching staff"-talk is a bit much IMO.

TK was producing..then got demoted to the Twin Line and lost his groove again.

Yeah, it's the most frustrating part of this season for me. Ghost was tied for 30th in the league last year among defensemen in even strength points and he only played 75% of the games, of course. Yet, Manning, MacDonald, and Del Zotto are better options this year? The worst part is that Ghost actually can defend better than all of them. I just can't wrap my head around these decisions.

It's also concerning to me that Myers and Sanheim play similarly to Ghost.
