Neuvirth's injury and removal from game:

• During the second period, it was announced that Neuvirth was sent to Penn Hospital. He is alert. A further update could be issued Sunday.

Updated Sunday night:

NEW YORK - One day after he collapsed on the ice during a terrifying scene at the Wells Fargo Center, Flyers goalie Michal Neuvirth received good medical news Sunday.

Neuvirth was released from Pennsylvania Hospital and was resting at home, the club announced.
All diagnostic testing came back normal, and he will be reevaluated Monday afternoon, general manager Ron Hextall said.

"I'm not a doctor, but the tests came back normal and that's pretty much what you're looking for," Hextall said before the game against the New York Rangers on Sunday night at Madison Square Garden. "Other than that, just something freak happened. Health-wise, everything is good."

Tampa loses in OT

Both still have a game in hand.

Even if Flyers went 3-1-0 from here:

Tampa would only need to go 2-3-0 to finish ahead.
Carolina would only need to go 3-2-0 to finish ahead.
Islanders would only need to go 3-2-0 to finish ahead.

13th is realistically the latest they can pick I think.


More and more likely picking 12th though - likely close to sealed if Kings lose tomorrow. They'd be 3 points behind with an equal number of games (4) left.
