So in one summer Shero did this:

Dupuis - 4 year extension

Scuderi - 4 year contract as a UFA

Kunitz - 3 year extension

DB - 2 year extension

Adams - 2 year extension

This team was basically destroyed within the span of 3 months.

These are the exact kinds of moves that destroy franchises and close opportunity windows. Shero kept all those turds as a result of his failure to build an organization. He was gifted two all world talents and **** all over it. The baseball example is the Phillies. They resigned all those guys and had no system behind them. Their window closed and now they're ****ed for the next five years.

Mario and Ron need to redo last summer. Can Rutherford and all his assistant GMs as well as all the amateur scouts. Move everyone except Sid, geno, maf, maatta, horn. Hopefully it's built back up again for the last decent years of Sid and geno. What a shame.
