YES! YES! YES! Beautiful win!

Varlomov--who I thought looked shaky at first--played excellent, came up with huge saves in the 2nd and 3rd.

Grindlanders, 2 points. Slowly starting to see some signs of last year's team. Not all the way there yet, but getting there.

He's making 700K a year, essentially a 13th forward salary, this was them betting on him, he pans out and maybe next year you get 20 goals out of a guy being paid bupkis.

Doesn't look like he has 20G potential in the NHL but it's just a move to keep him in the organization, I don't hate the kid, he's fine as depth but not in the top-6 and not on a 3rd line with Brassard playing center.

I don't disagree with you.

13th forwards aren’t opening night middle 6 wingers
Unless he’s there for Ladd?

When was the last time this team had a guy who could win a faceoff?
The Carter administration?

barzal is such a beast. Just like I said, the numbers weren’t reflecting his play. Keep wally up and get a healthy ebs and hai knows. Mat can hit 90 this year if he stays this dominant. Kid basically won us back to back games

Missing Zeke in a game against this team was huge but we survived despite some shaky moments. A solid road win that could have been more artistic, but we got 'er done.
