are any of you asking how I have so much betting fun money? lol
Who said to fire the coach? Holy over exaggeration. This is why I hate coming here. OTL after a 7 game winning streak and you're all ready to fire the coach, trade the core, and send the plugs down to Abby. Blow up the team, they're no good, too slow, couldn't even keep up with the lowly Kings last night. An absolute tragedy.
Get a grip you guys. It's really hard to win B2Bs under the best of circumstances, much less coming off a two week Covid break with several players in quarantine including arguably their best scorer. I'll take 3/4 points in that situation all day. If there was one game you would circle on the calendar where they would definitely take the L and move on, it would be this one. And they did. Sorta.
They at least got a point out of it, which shows some resolve, to squeeze the most out of a terrible performance in what Bieksa calls those "greasy road games". Every team has these games -- they even call them strategic losses, because going full tilt for an entire season burns everyone out and increases injuries. Just don't make it a habit (like under Green, when they would have 7 or 8 games in a row like this). Did you really expect them to go 57-0 under Bruce Almighty?
Here's a shocking prediction: They're going to lose in regulation soon. That's going to happen. It's not an if, it's a when. And there's nothing wrong with that. It doesn't mean the team is in trouble. Like Bruce said: Don't try to win every game (although it was nice while it lasted). Just win the week. 1 point over .500 every week. (~3-4 games). In two months, you're back in the playoff hunt.
So let's relax, take the OTL, and move on the Kraken on Saturday. How they respond/rebound to these types of games is more important than how they play in them. One bad loss is not the time to pull the fire alarm.

I see people criticizing Pettersson, who has been underperforming all season, and Chaisson, who has been a disaster all season.
Do you disagree on either of those points?
What, pray tell, would you prefer people discuss following a loss?

I did. He wasn't exaggerating
They won 2 shootouts and an OT win during this 7 game win streak. Play in that many close games you are bound to fall short eventually."B2b, coming off a long break, best player out, backup goalie, all expectations point to a subpar performance and a strategic L, so getting an SOL is a bonus. It happens. No worries. It means nothing. Moving right along."
Did that Penguins game not happen?
Chiasson has been with JT Crosby the last couple of games and still blows chunks. Rutherford is about to axe him guaranteed.

I have to agree, there is a core of posters here who are/were literally waiting in the blocks to vilify whichever players were on their respective shit lists or even the new coach. Second of back-to-back road games featuring the seldom used backup goalie after a two week lay off and we lose in a shootout and there are actually people who think the sky is falling. Talk of "reverting to the days of Green". Calls to get rid of some players. How long will it be before we have a dedicated hate thread about Boudreau and co.? I swear some posters here are neurotic lunatics. Guess that's what 50 odd years of losing does to a fanbase...
Typical of the Canucks to get cucked out of a record by a shootout, lol.
Oh well. Ecstatic with the point.
Pretty sure this is the biggest hyperbole of all of them in this form. This is why I hate coming here.
