San Jose takes Jake Boltmann from the Lincoln Stars. He's committed to the University of Minnesota.

@Treb is up next with Philly and I'll send him a PM shortly

25 - Braden Schneider (RD) - Brandon (WHL)
56- Will Cuylle (LW) - Windsor (OHL)
118 - Simon Knak (RW) - Portland (WHL)
149 - Ilya Usov (C) - Prince Albert (WHL)
180 - David Ma (LD) - Shattuck St. Mary's (USHS-Prep) and Princeton University
194 - Stephen Halliday (LW) - Dubuque (USHL) and University of North Dakota
211 - Joseph Tucker Tynan (G) - Niagara Icedogs (OHL)

I went very NA heavy, so maybe that will help me for the differential when all your Euro gems go undrafted (and then become prized UDFA in 4 years) :naughty:. Apart from Schneider, I'm not sure how I did as no one was angry at my other picks

Cuylle is a big time faller (but a Philly-style PF)

Hard to be frustrated with 4th rounders +

With pick #212 in the 2020 NHL Draft the Tampa Bay Lighting are proud to select, from Val d’Or of the QMJHL, Jeremie Biakabutuka

Jeremie Biakabutuka D, 6’4’’, 197lbs
Pretty sure he is going to go undrafted... If he doesn’t have the smart and awareness to play D at the next level maybe he can be converted to a 4th line FW, but the real reason I’m taking him is that I’m hoping for someone to pick him just to hear a GM/scout screw up is name and just imaging the play by play guy…

This concluded all of my drafts since I took over for Tampa Bay (last 2 picks) and Nashville (last pick), I when back without looking at my list just look at the next 4-5 guys that were taken to see who was available and see if I would have a different pick*.

Big thanks to @MarkovsKnee for all the time and work that was put in and everyone who participated.

213 - James Hamblin

I am satisfied with my draft. I hadn't done one in many years but I think this one had the best picks past the 1st round. I did my homework this time around, no scouting but classified most players by SOGs and did some digging when I came across names that piqued my interest. Not the most scientific method but I am happy with the results (even if @WeThreeKings shat on the guy I picked first in the other thread  )

Just 1 prospect left on my list Jacob Murray from Kingstons Frontenac, gotta look at some guys you drafted. How do you guys check out USHL prospects, I can't find @!#& online. CHL and Euros I can find games to listen to (youtube/facebook/TV), highlights, shift by shift, reports,... But for USHL it's superhard. I remember when we drafted Harris the only thing I could find was an EliteProspect page and a quote saying he was a good skater....

And ... we're done. Thanks to everyone for participating!

Some stats:

We started March 16th and ended April 12th. We made 217 picks over 28 days for an average of 8 picks per day! That's fantastic guys. 7th round slowed to a crawl at times, but, eh, it's Easter Weekend.

Here's where we drafted from, the top 10:

1. OHL: 42 picks
2. WHL: 37 picks
3. QMJHL: 25 picks
4. Sweden: 24 picks
5. USHL: 21 picks
6. Russia: 17 picks
7. Finland: 14 picks
8. USNTDP: 12 picks
9. USHS: 10 picks
10. Germany: 4 picks

OTHER

NCAA & AJHL: 3 picks each
Czech: 2 picks
Slovakia, Swiss League & BCHL: 1 pick each

The CHL dominated this one.

If the draft ever happens, come back here and see who got drafted and who didn't. Who got picked way too early and who was fantastic value (2nd rounder gotten in 4th round).

Stay healthy!

Harris was injured almost the entirety of his draft year. Not too many people got to see him. There are places that offer shift videos, and there are hockey websites that play the games, but both are paid.
