The Grant acquisition may turn out to be an important one. He plays a good game.

Grant looks like a player... Thompson, not so much.

Really thought voracek, niskanen, hart, pitlick, and grant had phenomenal games. Really everyone played well except for the bits of the 3rd. Pk definitely looks a little messy with thompson being added to it. Maybe he needs time to gel with couts. I am honestly really surprised Thompson is getting more minutes on the pk than grant. Grant has better numbers on it and is the better pker so i don't see why they are going with him more. Like grant's size and poise though.

Niskanen had one of his worst periods as a Flyer, but he was fantastic on that last ~2 minute shift.

Good road win. They made things more difficult in the 3rd then it should of been. Sometimes you get too comfortable and cute when you have a 4 goal lead. But they locked it down when they had to.

Holy shit did that get ugly at the end. The first two periods were fun as hell but wow... dumb penalties will cost you. All three of their goals were on the PP.

Even in a game where we had atrocious stats at 5v5, Captain G comes out with 50.00 CF% and 62.37 xGF%. Beast. I can't believe he had no points... deserved a few for sure.

Really bad game for the "top" pair. Provorov 36.00 CF%, 15.76 xGF%. Niskanen 37.50 CF%, 16.89 xGF%.

Lastly, Farabee and Ghost need to come back in. Stop screwing around. No more weak excuses.

As per the Sportscubstats model, now a 98.3% playoff certainty. Not that there's any doubt left, it'll just be good to be all sewed up early for the first time in like a decade. Dropped the Rangers down pretty hard, too. Nothing like helping yourself and hurting your enemies all at the same time.

They’ve been pretty much trending towards needing an epic collapse to miss playoffs for a bit now. We’re more so playing for seeding at this point.

On the surface things look a lot more dicey than doing a deep dive into the percentages. But that’s also done by design by the league to keep interest up.
