I don't regret getting an XB1 in the slightest. All the games I care the most about are on both consoles and my experience with Xbox consoles is far better than my (much longer) experience with Playstation consoles.

For the next generation, I'll definitely get an Xbox again, although maybe I'll end up getting both.

You can play both of them offline, right? My dad said that he bought an Xbox for all the grandkids, but he and my brother-in-law couldn't get it to work without an internet connection. I read a little bit online and it seems like there is a workaround for it, like maybe you have to register it first, or set the settings for each game to offline or something? I have a bunch of games in my Steam library that I have never played, but I may get a PS4 at some point (or wait for the next gen), as long as I can play everything offline.

I've been someone who has had Playstation since the original. I own SNES, N64, PS1, PS2, Dreamcast, GC, PS3, Wii, Wii U, PS4, Switch. Never owned an Xbox console. Now that all their of exclusives are coming to W10 for the foreseeable future, there is definitely no reason to get a One.

With that, I have the Switch and the PS4 for all the other exclusives.

Yes. Is that towards the beginning where you first run into Clickers? I couldnt figure out for the life of me how to get by that the first play through. Theres a ladder up over a wall you can drag down to get past it.

The opening of that game prior to the Title Shot is tremendous, I was hooked instantly

Yes. I was throwing things to make noise and crawling around the room. I got to the back of the room and couldn't find where to go. Decided to pop in another game. Nothing against the game-- I just got the ps4 and a few games and wanted to see the other ones. Ended up putting it down for awhile. I'll have to restart it then. I want to finish it before the 2nd one comes out. I want to finish Witcher 3 before Cyberpunk 2077 comes out as well.

Last two years have been great for games. This year AND next look broken good as well and the ps4 is crushing it.

I know I need to work through my catalogue but I started a Dark Souls Remastered pyromancer run. I need to keep pushing on Horizon Zero Dawn, Last of Us remastered, and Nier Automata. *sweats.*

I keep hearing a lot about Dark Souls but haven't played it yet and don't know much about it.

Sell me on it!

Yeah, you don't need to be online. I play offline all the time and I don't think you need any kind of workaround because I can't remember ever doing anything like that.

The whole always online thing was before the console even came out, but they changed that when people freaked out about it and the new guy took over.

Wait, does the "One" in XBox One represent you?

Yea that almost made me stop because I hate stuff like that in games, but once you get out of there, it really starts rolling forward and never stops again. Go to the back of the room again and look up, I think its Circle to grab a ladder down and crawl over a wall and out. One of the best games I've ever played. So excited for #2

And if you haven't played the Uncharted series yet, do so. You can skip #1. But 2 3 and 4 are works of art.

The Dark Souls series separates the wheat from the chaff, the men from the boys, the awkwardly feminine from the possibly Canadian.

Great games. The feeling of satisfaction you get after struggling with a souls boss and finally killing it is unmatched in video games.

I played for about 30 minutes and it definitely separated me from the men  I don't like it when games outsmart me and scare me to death.

@Striiker I got you fam.

I am, always have, always will be an Xbox guy. Controllers have better feel. Games exclusively were always better (Halo, Gears of War). The gaming competition world was always harder on Xbox live like gamebattles and such. If you played PS online and bragged about being good you are truly average when it comes to the Xbox skill levels.

I am very excited and intrigued to see how the new COD/Battlefield will be with the new battle royale modes. Im expecting them to regain their roots and take command. Extremely excited for the newest elder scrolls in a year or so. My god I’d donate my kidney for an Oblivion remake.

Have a good day.

Sorry to do this, but I think I gotta burst your optimism bubble about Elder Scrolls... you're probably looking at quite a few years until that one...

They're coming out with Starfield first (which will probably be in a year or two) and THEN Elder Scrolls (according to the leaks and the way they've released past games). I wouldn't be surprised if that's 4-5 years away.

Again, if you don't care about shooters, there's no longer any reason to have an Xbox. And I say this as someone with over a 70000 gamerscore on Live and still having a first-gen 360. Microsoft is terrible at developing new IP nowadays (aside from the occasional Live game like Ori and the Blind Forest). I guess I can expect my K/D ratio in the next Black Ops to shoot well over 1.08 if we all switch to PS4. :naughty:

I'm fine with the feel of both controllers but the speakers and lights in the PS ones are an awesome little bonus. The short battery life is their only downfall.

Speaking of great controllers, I broke 3 Xbox One controller in 2 weeks a few months ago. I was ready to lose it. All the left joysticks snapped when clicking in. They're such cheaply made pieces of shit. They replaced the inside copper parts from the 360 with plastic and raised the price. All my online gaming is on Xbox with my closest friends or I'd turncoat back to Sony. Their exclusives are some of the best games of the decade, let alone "good" games.
