Why would Miller want to go to a team with no playoff hopes and likely a destination he wouldn't sign longterm with

Washington with there struggles in net make most sense to me. Overall though not much of a G market right now

Washington has far more then just goalie issues. Their D is really bad beyond the top three and even the top three isn't that special. Compared to the Oilers it's really not much better there.

Even the forward group is really lacking in depth. They basically have Ovechkin, Backstrom, Grabrovski as their scoring talent then a huge dropoff to some weak-ish secondary scorers and then just crap.
