Want to argue facts or not?

How do you defend a guy who is playing so bad and seemingly getting worse and worse?

1 goal in 35 games, how do you defend that?
The amount of goals against he is on the ice for, again how do you defend?

I just want one positive thing to be excited about that the Kings have Mike Richards signed through 2020.

Richards is one of those players whose game can fall off in a big hurry. Playing that physical game REALLY takes a toll on every player, but the undersized guys who play with an edge really seem to "lose" their game at an earlier age and very suddenly. A guy like Mike Peca (who played that type of game) went from a legit scoring line player to 3rd/4th line checker at the age of 29. Part of that could be attributed to the knee injury, but I really think it was just the cumulative abuse wearing his body down.

I'm not saying that is necessarily Richards career arc, but he's really struggling now. Hopefully the Olympics break lets him find his game.

That's why I can't beleive that anyone would give Ryan Callahan a 7 year deal.

Moral victories are excuses as to why you didn't win. If this team and it's fans accept moral victories then we are back to the black hole era of hockey here in LA. Unacceptable, when the team doesn't win accountability needs to happen and heads need to roll. Moral victories are losses.

We miss Scud's so much, you never called out his name much, maybe because he always was in the right place at the right time.

Absolutely. If Scuds were still here....still, play was better last night but they keep on digging a hole in the First period-what was it, 3 SOG in the first 14 min. of play.? Bad penalties and starts have doomed the Kings in this stretch. They always have a decent 2nd period, then falter in the 3rd. Sutter's fault? He doesn't take the ice and take bad penalties. When you are chasing the puck as much as the Kings lately the offense has no chance to create a flow.

One more chance for a W before the badly needed break. Only saving grace is that the Canucks keep losing. Phoenix is right there as well so the Kings better be ready to go in March.

I'm pretty sure #moralvictories are being used tongue-in-cheek.

I, for one, welcome a return to the self-deprecating humor of the dark days around here :D

Speak for yourself. Moral Victories represent Honour and Character. Both way more important than points

Forget a statement game, January was a statement month, and i am proud

I was at the game last night and it was electric. Finally the team showed some heart and guts and played hard.

Some awful defense prevented the Kings win. Greene was terrible all night, and Muzzin needs a head transplant. That guy was painful last night as well.

For the best defense in the league, it certainly was not last night. Crawford was vulnerable for a loss and our defense just blew up last night.

Too bad, but still was a fun game to attend.

I liked Williams attempting to mix it up with Kruger, the team needs more of that battle-like attitude. When they won the Cup every puck was contested, if the other team had the puck they got hit. Haven't seen that for awhile. The enemy deserves no mercy, mercy is for the weak.

This is half serious and half not serious - what would Muzzin look like as a winger?

Wouldn't it be funny if that was the solution?

I imagine you'd still get the good part of Muzzin, with any mistakes happening further away from the goalie.

Toffoli - Kopitar - Carter
Muzzin - Richards - Williams
King -Stoll - Brown
Clifford/Nolan/Lewis/Fraser/Frattin, whatever combination

Mitchell - Doughty
Regehr - Voynov
Martinez - Greene
Schultz-healthy scratch

What the hell, why not.

Hell I like that.....I like that a lot.

Kings give up no assets either in some stupid trade.

What have you got to lose ?

Muzzin would be a pretty big LW, 6'3" 220

Just imagine, down 1 goal, third period, 25 seconds less, pass it to no one, going into our own empty net, and that'd pass would be by Muzzin.

If he were closer to the net then on point Muzzin may hit it once in a while?

I agree with both of these.

My moral victory comment was very tongue in cheek.

I also miss that humor from around here, probably the one bad thing that winning the cup did to this board.
