Bunnaman outplaying Pitlick & Laughton lately? No way. Pitlick has been terrific, & Laughton good as long as he’s on LW.

8-3-1 since the road trip from hell, including 1-0 loss to TB, including two wins over Caps, Bruins, @ St Louis, and Pens.
During that stretch: CF/xGF; CFrel/xGFrel

Raffl 54.11/42.79; +1.60/-11.90
Laughton 47.22/43.23; -7.66/-11.35
Pitlick 42.71/40.58; -12.79/-14.26

NAK 50.00/53.55; -3.61/+1.92
Farabee 50.00/52.14; -2.06/+1.93
Bunnaman 48.84/54.61; -6.30/+1.67

PK - xGA/60
Laughton 4.68
Pitlick 4.30

Big deal. A couple percentage points in CF% & xGF% over the last 12 games doesn’t mean Bunnaman has been more important to the team than Pitlick, Laughton, & Raffl over that span.

Bunnaman averaged 8:52/game, least on the team in that stretch. (Laughton 15:06, Raffl 13:34, Pitlick 12:31.)

Played 10/12 games.

34% on draws. 1 G, 1 A, 7 SOG. 0 PK time. 0 PP time.

Laughton: 4 goals, 20 SOG, 28:39 PK time.
Raffl: 2 G, 2 A, 13 shots, 16:40 PK time. 11/12 games.
Pitlick: 1 G, 4 A, 11 SOG, 18:18 PK time.

All 3 have played more minutes & more difficult minutes than Bunnaman & made bigger contributions.

The obsession with Corsi & xGF as player rating systems is off-base.

Common sense says that Ghost "tweeked" something last practice and hence why he threw his stick into the stands and went off the ice. And now we see there are still issues. Sit him until it's clear he is ready and has lots of practices under his belt. Team is playing fine without him.

Gotta hit the road soon for this game. So happy Hart is starting. Havnt seen him live since I lived in Seattle and had season tickets to his WHL team.

Because he plays alot better at home. Elliot is the better road goalie.
That’s the one angle I can understand.

But I also don’t know how rusty Hart will be.

They could be risking a winnable game they need. The road Isles game could be a loss either way.

That’s the question. He needs to be cleared for contact for this to get me actually intrigued.

If he was, you’d figure some of these Flyer Twitter guys would be all over it - so it makes me think he’s not.

I saw a tweet from Steph driver that he was cleared for contact. That may have been extrapolation bc I don’t think they announced anything. But it’s a good bet since he’s had practice and skates. I can’t see him more than a few weeks away if he is cleared for contact. That’s pretty exciting.

Definitely. I’m pretty low on him, but if he was to come back and even be a solid middle 6 C for 5 years. It’s a win at this point.

Thanks for the info!
