There was chatter about Ghost not being 100% which blows because he needs to QB PP1 so they can get back to the predictable first unit

Some interesting goalie stats - 47 goalies with 1000+ minutes:

Blackwood: 5x5 S% .926 (12th), HD S% .864 (3rd), PK .840 (36th), PK HD S% .594 (40th)

Bob: 5x5 S% .907 (4oth), HD S% .837 (19th), PK .859 (28th), PK HD S% .792 (21st)

Elliott: 5x5 S% .913 (34th), HD S% .822 (25th), PK .826 (42nd), PK HD S% .821 (15th)

Hart: 5x5 S% .911 (38th), HD S% .819 (30th), PK .835 (41st), PK HD S% .696 (37th)

Flyers are not getting good goal tending this season, which suggests this team is actually better than they look, i.e., if they had average or better goaltending they'd be one of the top teams in the NHL. They're 20th in S% at 5x5 and on the PK, below average but not terrible.

We can see this watching games, almost any game where Hart (at home) or Elliott (who knows when) play above average they have an excellent shot at winning, when those two give up a couple softees, the team struggles.

While everyone is getting worked up on the 19th best player on our roster, the bigger issue is has G snapped out of the drought and is he ready to go off. They finally have him at the right position. With the 3 point night I can so see G going off have say 12 points next 10 games in key division games. Couts breaking 8 game drought needed too. maybe just maybe this is the start of a nice run.

We haven‘t been supported by above average goaltenting for ages. Maybe short stretches with Mason or Boucher.
This season already feels like „solid goaltending“ despite those numbers.

Three next BIG, BIG games.

4 of 6 points (with two wins in regulation) would be great!
Imagine if we could go on a patented 10 game win streak right now. That would mean wins against

FLA x 2
Jackets x 2
Rangers x 2
Isles
Bolts

we would rocket up the standings, push teams behind us and gain some more confidence.

Hart, Farabee, Frost back would be a big help to getting there.

Coots is the cure-all. He's just so freaking dominant this year.

Future captain.
