I honestly dont think Hextall envisioned the team taking a massive step backwards this season. This was not part of the plan.
This absolutely wasn't part of the plan. The plan wasn't to watch essentially every player either drop off significantly from last season or stay stagnant despite anicipated improvement.
I'm seeing glaring issues that I hoped I wouldn't see this season. These games are happening far too often. Giroux's decline is starting earlier than I expected. Schenn has been a bust after his deal. The bottom 6 is a trainwreck and provides little to no offense. The goalies have both been putrid.
The season thus far has been a colossal failure. Save a 10 game streak this team has 15 wins in 40 games.
