These Football Times is currently having a feature where they're listing the 50 best players from 50 different nations. To be quite honest, it's not their best stuff but if you have some time to kill, check it out.

Now, without cheating by going on the site, can you guys guess who most of the players are from the drawings?

24 is probably not Torres since 46 is Xavi for sure.

Added Dalglish to the list.

#2 is in fact Ahmed Radhi from Iraq. The eagle on the jersey got me confused.
The egyptian guy is #38 Mohamed Aboutrika

If #3 is South Africa then I think it's Benni McCarthy

Maradona, didn't even see that one. 2 weeks and a whopping 15 goal season (his personnal best in Europe) are apparently better than Messi's career?

WOW.

Platini was more efficient than Zidane.

The article really emphasized Zizou's ability to come up big in big games. Meh, it could have been worst, they could have put Cantona in there for all we know.

So 4 names missing, time to think outside the box and think about countries that are not on the list so far. The biggest one I can think of is Bosnia.

Biggest names to come out of Bosnia? Dejan Savicevic, Pedrag Mijatovic, Sinisa Mihajlovic and judging by what I'm seeing at #44, I would guess that Dragan Stojkovic is the one we're seeing here? If you zoom in on the pic, the right badge on the jersey says Laguna Porec, which is in Croatia. I'm really grasping at straws here.

#44 looks like Yugoslavia. Not sure though. If that's the case I would go with Stojkovic but I need someone to corroborate.

Well, I dated a woman who lived in Argentina for a bunch of years and from what she told me, opinions on Messi in Argentina are quite divided. For many of them, he's a European who saves his best for Barca and barely shows up when it's time to suit for the national team. They call him heart of paper or heartless, I forgot, I dumped that chick years ago.

And they still love Diego like crazy, regardless of the drugs, the embarrassment he brought upon the country as a player and a coach, he can do no wrong over there, they still worship him like crazy.
