sad to hear about Rhodes, I remember his NWA days well.

I saw King Kong Brody and Abdullah the Butcher live, talk about a blood bath.

Sad to hear. It looks like once the cartoon discussion comes to an end, we have a ready made "next topic" of favorite...or obscure wrestler.

Thank you to others for reminding me to think of Rugrats and Pinky and the Brain!

The AmeriCon Man. That's only because he is a friend of mine. I've never actually watched wrestling.

I was into wrestling as a kid. Never will forget that intense match of Tables, Ladders, and Chairs with the Hardy boys. #swantonbomb

I will show my age, and only Canadians "should" get this reference, but I have autographed pictures of The Cuban Assassin(the original) and Stephen Pettipas.....from Grand Prix Wrestling.

Lol....if you want to see what I first watched as a kid, click on the YouTube video below. Turn up the volume and enjoy!

Note....the first 3 minutes or so are textbook head locks....and nothing else. So sad.

Awesome, Maka Singh started in Stampede wrestling, before cable that was all we got in Manitoba. Think they called him the toilet bowl, was a big heel.

Funny story about wrestling, a good friend of mine who is a local media guy was huge in the Mb wrestling scene and back in the day he got an offer to commentate in the WWF. Would of had to move to Conneticutt and he and wife were local so chose to stay. He has a contract framed from Linda Mcmahon, the green blazer and a real replica HW belt, it is quite cool !!

So, I drove a green on a par 4 that was 328 to the green. 1.) I had no idea I could hit that far, but the next hole I drove it another 300+. 2.) I missed my Eagle putt by 2 inches. 3.) I had the best luck ever on another hole where I drove it far as hell, hit the cart path bounced back into the rough within 70 yards of the hole on a 440 yard par 5.

P.S. My short game is absolutely the worst ever.

Drive for show, putt for dough. Sounds like you're doing something right though.

Save me a seat, please. I'll bring the nutritionally valueless breakfast cereal.

Favourite Simpsons episode was "You Only Move Twice", where Homer gets a new job with Hank Scorpio, who turns out to be a Bond villain type.

Haha. This one and the Lemon of Troy are the best.

Accidentaly, it has also been taped with a lemon, it seems:

So I'm flying to Europe today for my friend's wedding. Gonna be in Austria for half a day (more if you include driving), Slovenia for a couple days, and Croatia for 4 days. Anyone ever been who can recommend some things to do/see/buy while I'm there? Our schedule is mostly full (Lake Bled, Plitvice, Dubrovnik) but if we have some surprise downtime, I'm always open to ideas!

The only "word" I know in Slovenian is "Kopitar" and in Croatian is Mandzukic, Lovren, Rakitic, and Modric.:help:

It's not just putting, I can't chip, I have no touch on the ball at all. If I'm within a 110 yards and can't take a full cut at the ball I can't get on the green haha.

We would make good scramble partners , I'm dead straight off the tee and deadly inside 120

But short

Yea I'm normally pretty straight off the tee myself, maybe a tiny bit of a draw. Here and there I will push one straight left because I didn't get my hands through (I'm Left Handed) and every once and a while I'll have a day where I think my swing speed is a bit slower then normal and I'll hook every ball I hit, but for the most part I'm pretty awesome off the tee.

hey guys... quick question

i'm developing a hockey sim on iOS where you can coach your players, i'm having trouble settling on 3 offensive strategies that i should let the player select from for how to attack in the offensive zone.

right now I have crash net / shoot from point / cycle behind net as the 3 strats

are those different enough to warrant 3 separate options? if not, any suggestions?

I don't want to brag, but I can put it through the windmill about 7 times out of 10. Lots of free games. Lots.

As Coffe said, it's all about that practice. Hit the range. Hit the putting greens a couple of times a week, and after a couple of months, you'll start to see some good improvement (as long as your swing looks good).

A few years ago I was playing a round in Whistler (high elevation already). With an elevated tee box I drove a 370 yard par 4 with a two tier green. Ball ended up on the top tier, pin in the bottom tier.

Left my first putt short and failed to make the ridge, so it stayed on the top tier. 'Saved' par from there.
