That's a surprising stat. I really like his play and his shoot first mentality, but didn't realize he had this much of an impact.

it's not just that he's better than Oleksiak, but he just balances out the line-up so much better. 1: Maatta fits much better with him so Maatta becomes a better player when Riikola is in. 2: Riikola moves the puck much better than Oleksiak, giving MUCH more help to the forwards. Puck movement and supporting the offense aren't effectively captured in his stat line.

3-2 would be a very nice 5 game road trip. Definitely went the hard way, but would be solid.
