RHS winger

Good shot with a great ability to find space and time to create. Solid playmaker as well.

Had 4G, 9A in 45 SHL games last season

from Black Book:
Gunler is a cerebral – sniper, who is one of the most gifted scorers featured in this draft. It is Noel’s offensive abilities that really makes him stand out as he is gifted with a superb offensive toolkit to create and score goals. Gunler’s wrist shot is elite, featuring fantastic mechanics. When you compare Holtz and Gunler’s shooting ability, there’s several similarities, including the coordination, fast-twitch, and rapid core and hip rotation. These movements come together to get off consistently quick and powerful shots, where he can pick a corner and shoot with superb velocity

“There's really nothing more I can find out about Gunler at this point. Six Swedish NHL scouts say there's no red flags with the kid. One of his former coaches says that there's nothing to worry about and that he is a great kid. I spoke to 2 agents from another agency than the one that represents him and not even those guys had heard anything with substance about him.” HP Scout, Johan Lindemalm Karlsson - May 2020

"Humble, shy, nice kid. Works hard in the gym in silence, doesn't complain and does what he's supposed to do day in and day out. Hearing that Luleå has to drag him off the ice and out of the gym and force him to rest, as he wants to improve and prove people wrong.” - HP Scout, Johan Lindemalm Karlsson, May 2020

Last season, Noel Gunler got in 15 games at the SHL level, putting up two goals and three assists for five points while playing in the men’s league as a 17-year-old. This year, he played in 45 games for Lulea HF, putting up four goals and nine assists for 13 points. He got his chance after ripping up the J20 league. Gunler scored 27 goals and 19 assists for 46 points in just 31 games last season. He led the North Division in both goals and points He also added three points in three playoff games. This year, he played in four J20 games, putting up six points.

Gunler also played for Lulea in the Champions Hockey League. In 11 games, he scored four goals and two assists for six points. He has had limited experience with Swedish National Teams, as there is plenty of competition for spots. Gunler played in the 2017 Under-17 World Hockey Challenge but did not score a point in five tournament games. He also played in some smaller tournaments and exhibition games for the U-18 team last year but did not make the team for the IIHF Under-18 Worlds.

"Gunler creates the majority of his offence with off the puck skating patterns, the ability to find space, and relatively good timing. He's got a great shot, and if someone can carry the puck into the offensive zone or dig it out on retrievals for him -- watch out. He's able to tag anywhere on the net with time and space. -EliteProspects 2020 NHL Draft Guide "

Opens up space with elusive skating away from the puck- sounds a lot like Turbo. But a bit more of a finisher.
