Nathan Bastian, RW, Mississauga (OHL)
NHL Central Scouting final North American ranking: 35
2015-16 stats: 64 games, 19-40-59

An effective power-forward who can also serve as a playmaker; Bastian (6-3, 206) is capable of using his size and skill to create offense. He finished third on Mississauga in points, has good finish in tight spaces, is responsible with and without the puck, and plays with an edge. He had 22 power-play points and generated 162 shots on goal.

Bastian is a forward with great size who performs well in all aspects of the game. He has a good shot and can dish the puck as well as any in the OHL. He could benefit from getting a little meaner, but has shown vast improvement throughout his OHL career. He is a good skater for such a large player. Some have compared him to a James Van Riemsdyk. They may think his skating can be improved, and like enough else about him though.

From his highlight video, he doesn't seem slow and appears to be a strong skater, but could definitely improve his top speed and acceleration.
