I'm not trying to piss you off but I'm betting I could find your last sentence in lots of posts on this board over say, the past 10 seasons.

You see, the problem usually is..... they won't (keep that effort up and thus be competitive). 2019-20 season proves so in most recent memory.

Nothing you say is wrong. All we can do is hope that they keep up this effort.

Yes, they definitely played well and dominated all the stats except one, but despite that, they just make hockey look so...unnatural, and difficult. It's very weird and unsettling. They are a simulacrum of a good team.

Yup, it's not like every major and minor news outlet pointed out that the Sabres had one of the worst goaltending tandems in the league..

Sabres need to trade for an NHL calibre goalie from a team like Arizona, asap.
