Does Zadorov have a minor injury or just getting scratched?
Healthy scratch, though Nolan *should* be adding at least one of Strachan and Zadorov to the lineup after the way Benoit and Meszaros have played, but we also said that after last game.

0-0. Shootout goes to 49 rounds before the league interrupts and awards a point to each team.

Carolina won't be good this year, but they aren't as bad as everyone is making them out to be.. I really don't get the overreaction.. They couldn't even sniff our tanking jockstrap

The future
Nolan is pissed. I don't blame him. I think the team skates and plays hard for Nolan tonight and keeps it a tight contest. I honestly don't see us losing this one: Cue the "Carolina will get our franchise player" panic.

This is a must lose game. They'll win though, that Carolina roster was bad to start the season, and is currently a shell of itself.

Two months from now:

"Sabres Hot After Getting 1st Win"

BUFFALO, NY - the Sabres have won every game they've played the last two months, ever since they got their first win of the season 8-1 vs Carolina on October 14...

Oh, man! That was an awful nightmare!

EDIT: forgot to add, "...led by Gionta's 12 goals and Benoit's superb defensive play!"

NBCSN game.

This might be a candidate for worst game ever to get a national TV broadcast.

The standard of play might be low. But the game itself could be quite entertaining. Pond hockey is awesome to watch.

Take out mez, put on Zadorov.

Stick Hodgson between Foligno and Stewart. Girgensons between Sam and Gionta. Mitchell-Des-Flynn

First, I am hoping beyond hope that Meszaros and Benoit are sitting tonight. (At least one, in the hopes that Zadorov is playing) Secondly, I may be in the minority here, but obviously Buffalo is going to win some games this year, and Carolina is going to win some as well. So because I detest the Hurricanes, I'm still rooting for a Sabres win. Perhaps in February and March, pending the standings, I'll feel differently with this type of match-up, but for now, in this early stage, I'm rooting on a win!
