They will not fire anyone until they are out of the playoffs and looking only at next year. There has been little practice time with the compressed schedule, and no time for someone new to come in and enact changes. They do not have consecutive off days for the next 2 weeks.

If you trusted an Asst Coach, you could make a move, but they are are at least as in fault as AV, if not more.

I don't see the huge flaws, as the last game showed, Hart back to normal fixes a multitude of sins.
Now just find a top four RHD next summer and they're close to set.
I don't even worry about forwards with the flood of talent coming next year, Frost, Laczynski, Allison, with Wisdom, Foerster, JOB, Brink waiting in the wings. Willman and Lycksell as wildcards, Kase on the outside looking in.

You don't honestly believe that one top four RHD is the difference maker of this club from pretender to contender do you? Who is this mythical right handed Chris Pronger? The Flyers trading for Drew Doughty?

This is going to be bad. The bruins are going to wipe the floor with this scrub team, just like in the beginning of the season.

One solid RHD solidifies our defensive rotation, with the top four set, we're looking at York, Braun, Morin and maybe Ghost as the 3rd pair. That's a top flight defense. Sanheim and Myers may have struggled at times this year, but the talent is obvious, D-men have ups and downs early in their careers.

The forward group is deep and getting deeper, even if they lose Laughton, Raffl and one of JVR/Voracek:

G - Couts - TK
Lindblom - Hayes - Farabee
JVR - Frost - Patrick
Wisdom - Laczynski - NAK

that's not a bad front 12, or replace Wisdom with Allison and move Farabee to LW. Or Foerster. Or Willman, if you want more speed.

Upgrade Elliott with a better veteran goalie, bring Ersson over to LHV and you have real depth at goalie.

Just have Hart have a good game. A nice clean 2-0 loss would be ideal.

Bruins PP 1 for 3
Flyers PP 0 for 5

Our PK is 73%? I didn't even realize it was so low. A few years ago when we bitched about Lappy running the PK when they were running at like 78% and those numbers were among the worst in the league since the 2005 lockout

The PK% is currently the lowest it's been in the past decade. 17-18 was the next worst year at 75.8%.

Depends on the D.

Hamilton if goes UFA may well.

But more than anything Flyers need their own youth to step up, develop etc.

Without being able to move out a significant salary, I don’t think they can sign Hamilton. Nobody claiming Ghost should be a indication that’s teams aren’t interested in taking on salary.

I wonder what the team’s path would look like if they picked Hamilton over Coots.

Chances are they don’t pick Morin as a major stretch, and maybe someone like Domi instead.

Things might change post expansion without COVID too.

I dont think looking at the cap for Flyers next year that making a play would be impossible. They can get to like 10m space or so without that much pain.

The same Sanheim/Myers pairing that makes it seem like the goalie can't stop a beach volleyball?

For years the cry was "play the prospects, don't block them with mediocre veterans."

They play the prospects. "They suck!"

Yeah, what do you think happens when you play a lot of young players? They make mistakes. Live with it.
