Hart likely is going to have nightmares leading into this game given how his last games vs them have gone this year.

0-2-2, .843 SV%, 5.32 GAA, 8 PP goals against

Given up, 6, 6, 4, and 4 goals each game.

They pretty much have to win both Bruins games or it's time to sell.
A split or even an OT loss and win ends their chances (3-4 points behind with Bruins having 2 games in hand and the Rangers breathing down their neck).

If recent history is any indication, the Flyers have a difficult proposition to win two games in regulation. They have won just twice in regulation the last 26 games in this series. Ugly numbers.

I hate how this team had godawful March and have huge flaws to fix; yet are so relatively close to play-offs and make me hopeful. Sigh. Evil type of mental torture.

I don't see the huge flaws, as the last game showed, Hart back to normal fixes a multitude of sins.
Now just find a top four RHD next summer and they're close to set.
I don't even worry about forwards with the flood of talent coming next year, Frost, Laczynski, Allison, with Wisdom, Foerster, JOB, Brink waiting in the wings. Willman and Lycksell as wildcards, Kase on the outside looking in.

Our PK is 73%? I didn't even realize it was so low. A few years ago when we bitched about Lappy running the PK when they were running at like 78% and those numbers were among the worst in the league since the 2005 lockout

it sucks man. A few more wins and we are right in there. Absolute nightmare of a month that can never be replicated again any other season. We were in the top 3 before march and weren't playing well..shows you that if they fixed things we would've taken off. I cant believe when we got healthy from covid they started being an awful team. I was one of those who said that when we get everyone back from covid we would take off like last years run.

This team is way too good to be playing like this. If we make the playoffs off some miracle run, we can definitely make some noise but im never getting my hopes up this year

It makes no sense. Granted that they done have a grade A sniper on the roster but G and Bee aren’t bad. JVR is good around the crease. The problem has to be scheme and the rest of the players that are out on the PP. Too often they seem to be looking for the perfect shot. A lot of the passing on the perimeter gets bobbled which allows the defense time to re-set itself.

They WEREN'T an awful team. They have solid metrics. The goalies were awful.

Sure, they made too many bad mistakes on defense, but as Hart showed last night, that's why they pay goalies, the goalie won't stop 'em all, but a good goalie cleans up a lot of mistakes.

But I always knew this season was going to be a clusterf---k, and it ain't over yet - I'm waiting for a top playoff contender to get wiped out a week before the playoffs. :naughty:

The Bruins have six games left versus Buffalo. We can grasp at straws, but the season's already over unless a team above the Flyers has a Flyers in March collapse to close out the schedule.

Fletcher can't sell until the Flyers are clearly out of playoff contention, can't do that to the veteran players.
But if they split with Boston, then he's free to move on and prepare for next season.

dude to blame the goalies for this is hilarious. I don't give a f*** what the metrics are saying.. we made our goalies awful with the shit f***ing coverage we had. A lot of the goals could've been saved cus a lot of shots were one on one, HOWEVER, how many damn tap ins/open players in the crease did we surrender? How does this happen????????? AWFUL TEAM DEFENSE. You can blame the goalies all you want but we wont go anywhere with this d core as it currently stands. You have stated numerous times that braun should be elsewhere in the lineup...that alone tells us where our d currently stands.
