That was fatigue, not laziness. He's not a machine.

Oilers need to blow the doors off early in games to compete with this roster. If a game is close or if they're losing then they have no choice but to play the same 3-4 forwards and the same 2 defensemen, and they all keep looking dead by the time the third period starts.
