I love stats I can understand. The Bruins are going to need to perform better in both the Offensive and Defensive High Danger areas than they did in the regular season against the Islanders.
Offensively, the Bruins scored only 6 High Danger Goals against the Islanders this season - worst in the division. They scored on only 9.38% of their High Danger shots. The Division average was 18.43%.
Defensively, the Bruins had a 77.97 High Danger Sv% versus the Isles - second worst in the Division. The Division average was 81.2%.

Palmieri has come to life a bit in the playoffs, not invisible like last time we played Isles in regular season. Barzal has had a tough playoffs but it seemed like he was just about to break through G7, he was doing everything but scoring. Beauvillier is buzzing right now, he looked incredible in G7. Pageau has been a pain for us since joining the Isle, I expect him to continue that.Last four seasons vs Bruins

On paper, the Bruins certainly don't have as wide an advantage in goal as they did vs the Capitals. Rask and both Islanders goalies have performed very well head-to-head. Rask, in particular, has been exceptional.
As far as their recent histories against the Bruins, the Islanders "Second" line (Eberle-Barzal-Komarov/Pageau) has had a lot more success than their "First" line (Beauvillier-Nelson-Bailey). That "First" line has performed well below their career NHL averages when playing against the Bruins. Hopefully having home ice will allow the Bruins to get more advantageous matchups against the Barzal line. Oh, and Kyle Palmieri's no slouch on their Third line, either.
Winnipeg will trash Toronto. Can’t believe I’m rooting for the Bruins. But it’s for the good of the game. Plus it’ll be funny to see you guys beat the Leafs in the CF.
