I'm just not impressed with most of our 2nd picks recently: McGinn and DeGuiseppe. Not sure why they take that early Nedeljkovic. The picks of Rask and Dalpe obviously were good gambles.

Never was a fan of the Aho pick. Always wanted either Sprong, Harkins, or Bittner in the 2nd round....I thought those were better choices for our current needs.

But who knows with any draft....Aho could turn out to be a steal.

I hope he sets everyone on the right pronounciation from the day one. It's not the 'a' in 'make' but the 'a' in 'what'. And the 'o' is short like in 'bot'.

Pitkanen is taking a leave of absence from scouting though and being a home dad for a year while his wife is specializing to become a pediatrician.

Though, officially he was a Carolina scout for two years ending in spring 2018, so I don't know how big a role he had in finding Seb in the end. But he tells they played a couple of games together in Karpat, and those were enough to convince him of the level of Seb's talent. Unofficially they will probably continue make use of him.
