The Detroit playoff streak is probably coming to an end this year. They have not been good.

With that said it's still the Red Wings on HNIC. Still get PTSD from the Millionaires jersey game.

burrows scored, what, 6 seconds in? then it was alllllll downhill from there. way downhill.

but then i think about daniel's goal with 15 seconds left and burrows shootout goal with the breaking the stick mimic to break detroit's 23 game home-win streak and i get happier.

then i think about lidstrom scoring from centre ice and i get sad again.

IMO Hutton is already our 4th best defenseman. I think it's time to get Hamhuis alongside him and into an increased role. Let Hammer try to make the switch to the right side and leave Hutton on the left.

Then give Weber/Bartkowski/Sbisa 14-15 sheltered minutes.

Hamhuis refuses to play the rs. It's been that way as long as he has been here.

Last game Hutton had the 2nd most ice time behind only Edler. Hes already top 4, regardless of which pairing hes on 5v5.

Way I see it, Hutton-Sbisa have been working pretty well...why make the rookie pro adjust to a different partner when things are going just fine for him. Maybe playing him with someone else gets even more out of Hutton, or maybe it doesnt. At this point, imo, its not broke so dont **** with it.

Also, I dont like the idea of a pairing made up of any 2 of Weber Sbisa Bart even if you do shelter their minutes. Cuz ole Willie style doesnt really go for line matching etc.

Edler-Tanev
Hamhuis-Weber
Sbisa-Hutton

Bartkowski will sit tonight if indeed Weber is in.

14-21-36
47-53-18
9-91-15
23-8
2-6
27-5

Miller starts

Biggest question is will Weber slot in on the PP instead of Edler (even though I don't think Edler is the problem on the 1st unit)

That is the saddest 2nd line I've ever seen.

I wouldn't worry about how the lines shake out on paper. That line is the go to shutdown line so they'll get their minutes regardless. I still consider Baerschi-Horvat-Virtanen the 2nd scoring line, although it's about time to break them up.

I remember when a HNIC GDT would reach page 10 before the game even started.
