Thread might be a day too early, we need to see what happens tomorrow before we can make any kind of call on the lineup....

But I'll keep the discussion moving:

Fabbri is listed on LTIR on armchair GM because that's the last transaction he had before the end of the season but will certainly be back with the team next year.

I highly doubt we see two rookies on defense next year, and kind of hope we don't. Even if they are promising, having two rookies and one sophomore on D is a scary thought.

I feel like Ras bought himself some confidence with the organization towards the end of the season and will not be on the 4th line. I love Soderblom but anticipate him starting in GR due to the overall logjam at forward.

That D needs a lot of work.

Fabbri isn't due back til Nov iirc ?! Lineup is for Day1 onward, again, work in progress, won't know til at least tomorrow about 2C & 2RW & 1LD...

agree on Ras, Being optimistic for Soderblom & AlJo. Swapped Ras & Soderblom.

2 rookies on D is a concern, but both are quality (especially Ed), they're not #6/7/8 Dmen coming in. Ed's probably our 2nd/3rd best D & he hasn't played 1 NHL game yet. I feel confident in Kronner's tutelage & their SHL experience.


Add a Trocheck, a real 2RW & 1 of: Hague/Skjei/Manson & we're likely in a season long fight for the last 2 WC spots. Trade for Provorov would boost us too.

Hot take: Perron Copp Vrana line will put up more points than Larkin Bert and Raymond line. (If Bert is even on the team)

Do we want Beggren on the 4th line though? And Fabbri was more let's cross that bridge when we get to it in like December. But like you said there's a log jam any way you slice it.

I'm pumped with all the signings, but I hope it doesn't push Berggren back to GR. I think he's earned the right to start the year on the Wings. I really wonder if Zadina is gonna get traded, there's clearly no spot for him in the top 9, and Zadina has no use on the 4th line.

Over-ripen I guess. Maybe Stevie got tired of watching kids fail like Zadina, and is keeping Joey and Berggy in GR as long as possible. Quite frankly, I wish Zadina could be sent down as well.

It's like Stevie said "enough of this shit" and went a little overboard, lol. He certainly wasn't gonna set up Lalonde for complete failure, though I'm not sure this is a playoff roster. Close call since Boston will probably suck, all they've done is sign warm bodies.

I have Perron (RHS-LW) & Vrana (LHS-LW) switched. so it's the opposite look of L1.

which one has more efficacy on ice? 1 clogs up mid-ice/slot lanes better & it's trickier for the G to read shot vs. holding puck in OZ better .

what would your Sr. Rec. league coach say?

I'll wait until I see where Klingberg ends up before making my lineup projections.

However I do think Berggren is a regular next year. He was ready by the midway point and we all saw how much Zadina dogged it after november.

I also think it's a matter of finding a taker for Erne. There are guys that are better players being signed for less like Ondrej Kase that are an overall better fit for being lower in the lineup.
