Rather than continue to litter the 2023 thread with reports on prospects for next year, I thought I'd just get this started.

He does seem to be an elite prospect. Not on that Bedard level, but at this point he seems like an above average #1 overall

I think Fantili would be an average #1 overall

He should get a good push at the top from Aron Kiviharju, as mentioned in the other thread. Already excelling in Finland's top league as a 16 year old Dman, super mobile and just oozes poise. Can see him ending up the most highly touted draft year D prospect since Dahlin.

He is 5'11 and 180 as a 16 year old. He will probably end up over 6’1 and like 210. 8 month younger makes a huge difference to me. Look at top prospects every year and the vast majority are always in the older 6 months of the draft year. When a player is that young and that dominant that is impressive.

it’s just crazy because my son starts preschool in 2026. Where is the time going?!
My bad. I read that as being annoyed we were talking about next year already.

You should do that to him.

Insane to me that Misa is 2025..... That kid is going to be something else.
Absolutely agree, Misa might very well end up being that McDavid/Bedard - tier prospect. So far I would almost bet money on him being taken in the top-15 of the 2023 Draft as it is - and he is still not eligible for two more years. He's currently T-46th in scoring in the OHL and 26th in PPG in the league - at just 15 years old and having turned 16 literally four days ago, on a team that is middle-of-the-pack and lacks clear top-level talent.

Next year is loaded at defense. Like 6-7 guys in top 10 on some early lists, including 3 RHD.

I think it sounds like a medical condition. Macular degeneration of the cerebellum.
speaking of which, It's weird that two of our top prospects share names with medical conditions, every time I try to look up Zellweger or Gaucher I end up seeing Zellweger Syndrome and Gaucher Disease

yeah seriously, i can't take another season of rooting for losses
I don't care what happens the in the lottery, this season I could live with losses (still cheered for wins at games), but if/when we gave up goals I wasn't as mad as previous seasons. After a top 3 pick this year, I want every win we can get, even if it puts us in "no man's land" in terms of a draft pick. We have the talent in the system now, it's just waiting for development and patching holes.
