Damn Panthers win. Colorado sucked in the last 90 seconds. Florida back in 11th. But, don't move any further. Still 6 pts back of Pens, who have a game in hand.
Yeah hopefully Florida as dug themselves a deep enough hole that they can't climb back out of due to the teams ahead of them also winning and they not being able to make up any ground after wins. Hopefully the teams ahead of Florida makes it very tough on them the rest of the way.

So these would be the best case scenarios for us tonight:

Capitals vs Flyers (W)
Predators (W)
vs Maple Leafs
Oilers vs Ducks (W)
Sharks (W)
vs Kings

Most important thing is that they need to lose a few games here and there to make sure they are sellers at the deadline. ATM, they are close enough that they may not sell at the deadline which is the bigger concern

The other thing folks aren't talking about is how much these teams in the West still have to play each other. Even CBJ has quite a few games against them as well, more than us. That's a guaranteed 2 points for some of them.

Anaheim plays: Chicago (2 times), CBJ (2), Phoenix (2) (also Habs x1)

CBJ: Anaheim (2) SJ (2) Phoenix (1) also Habs x1

SJ: CBJ (2) Hawks (1) Phoenix (1) also Habs x1

Chicago: SJ (1) Anaheim (2) Phoenix (3) also Habs x1

Phoenix: Chicago (3) SJ(1) CBJ (1) Anaheim (3)

All in all it's good news. We only have 1 game left against each of those teams (none against the Totes I believe).

FLA has nothing to sell either way. They also don't have much to spend as buyers neither. They probably stick to their guns and hope to claw their way back up the standings no matter what happens until the trade deadline in my opinion.

Forget about real facts. Vacouver has the Hardest schedule. They have to fight themselves and their inexplicable inability to hold a lead
