Patriots have done this in the past with a number of their free agents, and signed back a fair number of them. Off the top of my head, they did this with Edelman, Hightower, and Devin McCourty.

Which is going to suck because he is their most reliable WR. And Mac loves him.

Wouldn't even consider bringing Meyers back. 69/799/3 the last 3 seasons and he's still one of the best wr in free agency. Let someone else overpay for that and collect the comp pick that might even be a 3rd if he gets overpaid enough. Lamar is getting the non-exclusive tag. Would give him whatever he wants if it meant he was a Patriot, the guy had a good te and one solid wr his entire time so far in Baltimore and a oc who only knows how to run the ball. He will explode wherever he goes.

Doesn’t get any separation anymore it seems and his short area quickness is shot. He would be a good 4 that runs 7 yards and finds the soft spots. His hands and brain are still elite
