With Reinbacher almost assuredly gone by the 11th pick, if the Canucks wouldn't trade down if Willander becomes their guy. Sabres(13) and Predators(15) have multiple 2nd round picks to make the trade work.

On May 8th, I wondered if the Canucks will target Willander. Now, I don’t think he’s a trade-down candidate anymore but I maintain there’s a very good chance he’s the pick if Dvorsky and Reinbacher are gone.

He’s not really wrong either. While it is slowly trending away, players between 6’0-6’3 are much more likely to make the NHL. Obviously there are many factors that go into it but between two similarly ranked players, for me, the tie breakers are size and position.

It’s not really a judgement of how Pronman ranks players now, just how it is.

I think he has swung a bit too far this direction though. Some of the later names on his list are littered with guys that by Pronman’s own description can’t really contribute much but…are big.
