They certainly are ugly...but i wonder if they might not actually be kind of effective? There's almost a sort of distracting quasi optical illusion element to them.

Personally, i think he should maybe focus on gaining a grasp of spatial and design sensibilities in the 3 normal dimensions, before he starts exploring a 5th one with his "art".

This is pretty nice in my opinion! One of the better Dave Art masks of recent times.

They one hundred percent do and many of them have lengthy conversations with trainers and equipment staff about their designs and you'd be surprised how many even know his specific terminology.

I feel like they go to him as a right of passage in the league as he does a lot of them and has his "style" which is the insane amount of lens flares. It's not even that his masks are awful, they're sort of similar in the style of art which is expected but it's that absurdity of adding the final touches that just doesn't make sense for a lot of designs.

There's also a lot that go to others and don't get talked about enough. He's the Rob Liefeld of Goalie Mask artists, instead of awful anatomy in his art, it's the same sort of shtick with a different palette.

Don't like this at all.

Probably went super budget knowing he won't be wearing the colors for long.

Now that's a mask worth talking about for how great it looks.

That Canes mask by Davefart looks so bad. It's cookie cutter at this point with his masks.

Obviously my opinion, but I am not sure what people see in Bauer. I went to a goaler convention one year and they had some of the most uncomfortable gear out there, whereas Brian's was one of the best. Now with that said, the single best piece of equipment was easily Warrior's pad set, but I take it that they currently do not have a deal with the NHL and thus why you don't see anybody use it.

I'd rank them as the following...
1. Warrior
2. Brian's
3. True (Lefevre)
4. Vaughn
5. Everyone else

Fwiw I quite like the looks of these Bauer pads. The graphics look much better than previous years imo.
