I'm not surprised to see us not claim Reily at all. PV is clearly holding that cap flexibility in hopes someone will pay up. I mean Vancouver just paid a 2nd to get rid of 1.3 million. Hoping we can capitalize.

Yeah... I would have claimed him he's way better than anything we got.

How is Tampa gonna clear 8 million in cap in 30 mins? Unless I’m reading the numbers wrong, but Cirelli has already been placed on LTIR

Why do you guys all want Reilly? We already have that type of player with Kulikov... but at least Kulikov plays more physical and is cheaper. We don't need more overpaid-in-between players who aren't offensive and soft.

I am not sure how Florida becomes cap compliant in the next 3 hours without trading somebody (probably Hornqvist, maybe Gudas). There could always be some random injurty that coincidentally pops up in the next couple hours.
So it looks like Florida is going to go with a 20 man roster, but they will be stuck with it until they trade someone or someone gets hurt.

Yup, they are putting themselves in a very precarious position.

Florida is not able to trade it's next three first rounders due to either no longer possessing it or it being tied up in a trade condition. It does still possess this year's and 2025's 2nd round pick.

Useful information when they are trying to move money out.

We have plenty of room to be a facilitator all season long. Many teams still would like to/need to dump cap. We'll see what happens.
